It's how and why we engage the best and brightest talent to continue propelling our shared success into the future.SUMMARY:The Temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for timely and accurately invoicing customers, posting of daily cash receipts, and completing end of month procedures.Position is projected to go a minimum of 1 month.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, as well as other duties as assigned.Customer InvoicingComplete all areas of customer invoicing including:Daily shipment and consignment usage of customer materialWeekly artwork and graphics chargesWeekly customer complaint creditsManual billing adjustments as neededCash PostingPrepare and post daily cash receipts. Note and follow up on short payments and unearned discounts.Manage accounts receivable collections, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of any collection issues while maintaining positive relationships with customers and account managers.Prepare, review, and reconcile monthly bank spreadsheet, including intercompany transfers.End of Month ProceduresComplete final billing for the month on business day 1.As needed, maintain and reconcile returns and allowances account for all CCF credits, rework billed, and miscellaneous cash collected for freight carrier claims.As needed, provide sales reports and assist with reconciliation.OtherCross train to assist and backup other areas of accounting.Assist with annual audit procedures and requests.Support department projects.Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of department procedures.Adhere to company safety guidelines, attend, and participate in all company mandated meetings and safety programs, and complete required trainings timely.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneRequirementsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Associates (AA) Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school, plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or Bachelors Degree from four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrevious manufacturing experience preferred, but not necessaryAcceptable prior work historyStrong communication and organization skills and close attention to detailAbility to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlinesProficiency in Excel (sort, filter, pivot tables, formulas, etc.) and OutlookLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
