The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and skilled in assisting with the monitoring and inventory of staff certifications, licenses, and registrations, ensuring they remain current and active within specified time frames. The role involves using reports, dashboards, email, and system search features to monitor and identify the status of staff certifications, licenses, and registrations. This position will also include interpreting and applying city ordinances that pertain to professional licensing requirements, standards, and administrative processes. This position will educate staff on the process for obtaining and renewing certifications, licenses, and registrations through various administrative agencies. Provide real-time support by monitoring professional standards database and includes hosting daily meetings with internal staff related to certification, license, and registrations utilizing monitoring and meeting software, e.g. Workday and Microsoft Teams, Outlook Excel, PowerBi, and similar applications. - Experience managing licenses and certifications databases, inventory management, and facilitating time sensitive requests.
- Experience in providing in-person and remote support in a code enforcement or building construction trade environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with the City of Austin's purchasing procedures and policies.
- Experience using the full Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Access and Power BI.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external customers
