This position will be responsible for handling enrollment processing and assisting the Account Management team with administrative client-related functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Acts as dedicated enrollment resource to process enrollments and eligibility changes with carriers.
  • Acts as a resource for clients to help them resolve any day-to-day plan administration/benefits issues pertaining to: enrollments, online enrollment systems, premium calculations, and eligibility issues.
  • Works closely with insurance carrier representatives to stay on top of product and systems updates.
  • Assists Account Management team with special administrative client-related functions, as needed. Such as:
    • transferring and organizing information on spreadsheets
    • preparing enrollment materials and online enrollment system updates
    • posting documents to online system/portals
    • open enrollment processing
    • filing, scanning, and other documentation processing
COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficiency in processing large amounts of information on an ongoing basis
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong aptitude for organization and prioritization
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in duties and responsibilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work on projects with a team or on an individual basis
  • Proficiency in PC, Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn software/technology quickly
  • Must be able to work in Charleston, SC
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer screen with few breaks
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Health & Welfare Administration, Insurance or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree
