Temporary Fabric Research & Design Coordinator - Oscar de la Renta : Job Details

Oscar de la Renta is seeking a temporary Fabric Research & Design Assistant to join our design studio team. Reporting to the Fabric R&D Coordinator, this role will be based in our corporate office in midtown Manhattan. This role is planned to run through early August 2025.

Responsibilities:

· Source fabric locally for protos, linings, subs, VIP projects and other fabric needs

· Create seasonal color cards for design team members and to send out to mills launch lab dips

· Assist with print development with CAD and or print mock-ups in Photoshop

Maintain fabric card wall & research boards, communicate changes and updates with design team

· Create and maintain seasonal fabric card PDF for design and sales team

· Create digital collection swatch book for production and sales teams

· Assist in helping facilitate seasonal fabric hand-off to production

· Maintain and update fabric archive & color library

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in textiles, design or relevant field preferred

· Experience in textiles preferred

· Working knowledge of excel, photoshop and additional adobe programs

· Very organized and detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills

Must be self-directed and a fast learner, be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
