Autonomous Medical Devices Incorporated (AMDI), with its principal place of business in California, employs a world class team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, and manufacturing experts dedicated to the development and manufacture of point-of-care diagnostic devices using breakthrough microfluidics, protein engineering, and data/cloud connectivity. AMDI will launch its first products from its ISO:13485 certified 110,000 square foot facility in Santa Ana, CA.Summary of Position The Production Operator will perform assigned duties as necessary and comply with all company work instructions and quality management system instructions. In this role, the individual will read and follow assembly specification instructions and inspect assembled discs. In addition, will also work with production, engineering and other departments to assist with refining products and processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and assemble parts.
  • Build parts in line with company expectations.
  • Will use simple hand and machine tools.
  • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to meet production specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Safely operate machines and production equipment, following instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area along with equipment and materials.
  • Run, monitor and ensures parts flow through the automated machines properly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize rejects.
  • Ensure adherence to quality product standards, minimizing defects.
  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis and meet company deadlines to adhere to production schedules.
  • Comply with relevant elements of quality systems.
  • Inspector output quality and address faulty products promptly.
  • Participate in audits to ensure compliance.
  • Follow test procedures according to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory management and material movement.
  • Verify arriving materials against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas per guidelines.
  • Report work progress, updates, and quality issues to the lead or supervisor.
  • Adhere to AMDI rules and regulations, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
  • Will perform other assigned tasks possibly with other functions/department as the need arise.
Qualifications Required for Position
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within assembly/production or related work experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a clean & organized environment.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate their way through the computer to enter data, review documents, check email, employee center, and announcements.
  • Excellent hand dexterity and coordination is a must as the position requires repeated reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, assembling and standing for long periods of time throughout the entire shift.
  • Excellent eyesight for attention to detail and safety awareness is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing precision tools & equipment.
  • Prior work experience in a clean room environment is preferred but not required.
  • Requires on-going lifting and moving of materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate to team members, engineering and quality personnel.
  • Ability to learn other skills as the need arises.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing situations.
  • Ability to be collaborative and work with the team to meet Company goals.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a clean room environment with RH20% and below in some rooms.
  • Must review, understand, and adhere to Clean Room gowning requirements.
  • May possibly work in a BSL2 lab
  • Some work stations will require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn.
  • Specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn in cleanrooms and BSL2 lab.
