Job Summary
The Temporary employee will support the Shooting Sports Center as a Range Master on the Statesboro Campus.
This position will serve as a team member performing supervisory and instructional responsibilities for shooting sports programs working evenings and weekends.
Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service
* Facilitate programs and services - Supervise facility to include opening and closing operations
* Educate patrons as needed while enforcing safety standards, policies and procedures
* Serve as an instructor for firearms instructional programs
* Attend all assigned trainings and meetings
* Provide emergency care as needed
* Maintain and utilize risk management best practices
* Assist with department and/or facility special events
* Maintain industry standards
Shift Specifics
* Up to 19 hours per week
* Flexible with schedule of availability
* Evenings and weekends, 4 PM - 9 PM
* Saturday's with an occasional Sunday
* Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
* One or more years of related work experience
Other Required Qualifications
* NRA Chief Range Safety Officer or Range Safety Officer certification
* USCCA Range Safety Officer certification or Concealed Carry Course instructor
* NRA Firearms Instructor
* USA Archery Level 2 instructor certification
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education:
* Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience:
* One or more years working in the shooting sports industry
Proposed Salary
$20.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
