Description The department of Alumni Operations is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Traffic Enforcement Officer for the Erickson Alumni Center (EAC). This position will assist in the operation of the Erickson Alumni Center (EAC) during WVU game days, WVU events and events held at the EAC.What You'll Do Serves as a focus point answering a wide range of questions pertaining to event parking at the EAC. Assist students, employees, and visitors with information concerning parking. Provides information to visitors, staff, faculty, and students concerning parking rules and regulations, safety, and security practices. Counts money collected during shift and completes cashier report. Inspects assigned area for safety hazards including trash and broken glass. Sweeps and cleans, as necessary. Reports security violations and safety hazards to supervisors for additional corrective action. Provides information to visitors, staff, faculty, and students about safe parking and security practices. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to help keep the EAC running smoothly during events.Pay Grade: 11 Length of Assignment: 4 Months Work Hours: 20 Hours per weekQualifications High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience involving:Customer service All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to demonstrate tact and concern when dealing with difficult people.Ability to maintain attendance and punctuality standards.Ability to and utilize two-way radio.Efficient computer skills.Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization and the general public in a clear and professional manner.Ability to work a flexible schedule.Preferred Qualifications Cash handling preferredAbout WVU West Virginia University is a place of purpose and community.
