Massanutten ResortJob SummaryThe Terrain Park Lead Supervisor designs, constructs, and maintains terrain parks on a daily basis and ensures friendly, courteous, and professional service is provided to guests and co-workers. Responsible for hiring, scheduling and training of employees and aiding ski maintenance with snowmaking and grooming as needed. Ability to ski or snowboard, experience in terrain park construction and maintenance, and working knowledge of snow sports and resort operations required. Must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license and approved driving record. The weather will greatly influence what is needed at any time during the job.   • Build, design, and maintain all terrain parks with consideration to guest and employee safety
  • Provide constant care and maintenance of features and jumps, knowledge of when a feature should be open/closed, ensuring all signage and fencing are in order, inspecting features to ensure guest safety
  • Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Hire, train, and oversee employee responsibilities and day-to-day objectives
  • Manage and appropriately schedule according to business levels
  • Ensure weekly payroll is accurate
  • Assist in making snow/grooming or other ski maintenance needs
  • Coordinate events, maintaining daily park logs and incident reports, and ensure that mountain operations/patrol are aware of terrain park opening/closing
  • Be up to date with current mountain plans and events, and communicate with other departments on regular mountain subjects
  • Oversee, lead, and monitor division operations to ensure efficiency and customer service goals are met
  • Be knowledgeable of and compliant with the Virginia Winter Sports Safety Act
