Position: Territory Sales Manager I

Location: Redding, CA (covering Northern California)

Position Summary: The Territory Sales Manager I is responsible for promoting and selling products to various customer segments within the assigned territory. This role involves achieving sales objectives, building relationships with key customers, and providing support to meet territory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with distributors, architects, agencies, engineers, contractors, and construction firms to promote products and provide support.
  • Acquire market knowledge to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
  • Adhere to expense budgets and implement sales programs set by management.
  • Keep management informed about key market issues.
  • Prepare reports and attend sales meetings.
  • Review plans and specifications for projects and provide necessary support.
  • Generate quotations and track projects until completion.
  • Visit job sites to ensure customer satisfaction and provide problem-solving assistance.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and seminars.
  • Assist in product quality assessment and credit management.
  • Resolve customer complaints and promote customer goodwill.
  • Participate in industry associations, conventions, and trade shows.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. - Up to five years of experience in construction management or architecture, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Skills: - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting business documents. - Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. - Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities. - Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and computer systems.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Ability to perform physical tasks and up to 60% travel time required. - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - Regular attendance is required. - Work in an office environment with moderate noise.

    Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 per year, d.o.e.
