Description

Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to achieve overall sales targets for your assigned territory and establish individual sales goals for key accounts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, specifically within the food manufacturing sector, in Northern California.
    • Develop and nurture long-term partnerships with major accounts to solidify the company's presence in the market.
    • Focus on growing key accounts through a consultative sales approach, providing high-touch service.
    • This is an Outside Sales role with a focus on prospecting and expanding new accounts in the food manufacturing space.
    • Some marketing support and inbound leads are provided, along with collaboration with an Inside Sales associate based in another region.
    • Attend industry trade shows and events with the Inside Sales team to network and promote products.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusting relationships with target accounts to prevent turnover to competitors.
    • Work closely with the Inside Sales Manager and support team to ensure customers are well-served throughout California.
    • Conduct site visits, maintain a regular cadence with customers, and identify new opportunities for growth.
    • Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.
    • Contribute to generating new business opportunities, fostering lasting customer relationships.

Profile

Requirements:

    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one of the following fields:

      • Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science (with a chemistry focus), Food Science, Agricultural Science, or Specialty Chemicals.

      Key Experience and Skills:

      • Proven experience selling into Food & Beverage Manufacturers and OEMs (not retailers).
      • 4-5 years of experience in sales, with a demonstrated ability to provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
      • Some outside sales experience is necessary.
      • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust with key stakeholders.
      • A hungry, results-driven individual eager to grow long-term within the company.
