Job Description:

Responsibilities:

The Vehicle Management team is responsible for developing technology solutions that support global business operations and span the full vehicle life cycle including acquisition, onboarding, maintaining/repairing and selling vehicles.

  • As an Engineer 2, Test Automation, candidate will be responsible for using candidate's technical knowledge and professional experience to test the quality of the services in an automated manner and drive the department forward on its journey to build and mature its test automation suite.
  • Candidate should have experience in creating and maintaining automated and manual test scripts and E2E tests for applications as well as REST APIs.
  • This role will be responsible for executing automated and manual test suites and assessing and evaluating quality assurance test requirements to determine the scope to be covered by the automated testing suite.
  • Candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, executing, and maintaining automated test suites and test cases, as well as manual test suites for those tests that may not qualify for automation.
  • Candidate will also participate in code reviews of automated test code, debug automated test code, provide estimates for assignments, and assist with sprint planning activities.

Developing professional expertise

  • Working on moderate to complex assignments
  • Establishing and fostering one-on-one relationships within and outside the department
  • Automate functional, regression, and smoke tests using internal and open-source tools
  • Define test specifications for functional and integration testing.
  • Manual testing and coverage for new features that have not yet been automated.
  • Create and maintain test plans as our product grows in functionality.
  • Experience in development using JavaScript (React.js, Node.js, modern JavaScript libraries - ES6 - 2015 and later versions)
  • Experience working with databases and various data formats and related technologies for testing.

Required Qualifications:

Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Track record of working in Agile teams that may be geographically distributed as well as working independently by self-managing priorities based on the team's composition.
  • 3 plus years hands on experience with developing and integrating automated tests into an existing development and continuous integration processes.
  • Experience working with Java, JavaScript, SQL development
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Experience using Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, and Karate
  • Knowledge of the NodeJS framework, Bitbucket (GIT) and Jenkins
  • Ability to execute automated test scripts that are already developed, analyze results, and provide timely and accurate feedback to development teams.
  • Ability to contribute to overall improvement of Quality engineering practices by removing redundancies, sharing knowledge etc.
  • Good working knowledge on essential Cloud services on AWS is a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of various computer systems and technologies with an ability to learn new skills and technology quickly.
  • Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, Azure, and Oracle
  • Participate in estimation discussions with the product and engineering teams.
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
  • Experience working closely with development and test teams to ensure the final code delivery meets product, quality, and performance standards.
  • Experience coordinating and/or conducting re-testing after defects are addressed and summarizing and publishing test results for internal customers.
  • Experience maintaining established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality service.
  • Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field

  • Startup mentality: self-starter, proactive, flexible
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Design and develop system test automation scripts using Playwright, Jest, Cucumber, Postman, and Karate
  • Support test automation solution planning and estimation
  • 5 plus years of experience in test automation including planning, assessments, script development & maintenance preferably in cloud environment; experience in manual functional and regression testing and preparing relevant test cases.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite including Jira, Confluence

Requirements to focus on:\
