Test Engineer - Akkodis : Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a test engineer for one of our clients in Raymond, OH.

Rate Range: $34.00/hour to $43.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The Test Engineer will have at least two years of test engineering experience in strength/fatigue test and confirmation, and experience with at least 1 type of data acquisition software such as SOMAT.

For this particular assignment, candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Day-to-Day Work Activities:

• Apply engineering principles, experiences and various analysis tools to develop test plans/procedures to confirm structural reliability of complete vehicles, sub-assemblies and components.
• Create data settings, test specifications/standards and test schedule; prepare/set up test equipment.
• Conduct moderately complex tests and document/summarize test results/conclusions/next steps.
• Verify testing accuracy/thoroughness.
• Analyze/interpret test results.
• Predict system/part performance.
• Identify issues and propose countermeasures.
• Communicate test results clearly in written reports/formal presentations.
• Propose design changes and recommend countermeasures based on analysis of testing results.

Candidates with experience working with structural fatigue/strength testing is highly preferred.

• Education: BS Degree in mechanical engineer is required.
