Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance is required to startHave you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Travel Requirements: NegligibleLocation: Dam Neck, VA SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Test Engineer, Lead to provide testing expertise to conduct testing on the lab-based system, to include component level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:· Provide testing expertise to develop test plans and document results for component level testing, full-scale testing of the integrated system, and regression testing.· Provide engineering expertise to integrate physical components such as computer hardware, networking hardware, software defined radios, software, user terminals, and ancillary equipment into a single cohesive lab-based system.· Work under the minimal technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks.· Develop and executes test scripts and scenarios to evaluate the functionality of systems.· Create test data to validate functional and technical requirements.· Review requirements to ensure that tests will satisfy specifications.· Interact with engineering to analyze and perform tests for systems.· Participate in project reviews.· Collect data and analyzes pattern.· Provide documentation and regular progress reports for test cases.· Perform new tests when field data failures or other problems arise.· May train, oversee, and provide tasks to junior test engineers.· May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and/or subordinates.· May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff.· May lead and direct limited tasks assigned to junior personnel. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:· Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline.· Six (6)+ years of professional experience working as a test analyst, systems engineer, test engineer, or similar.· Three (3)+ years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.· Experience with engineering requirements analysis, creation of test plans and procedures, and conducting test events.· Proficient knowledge of programming languages and of testing methodologies and best practices.· Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree depending on domain experience and contractual requirements.
