Job Description :

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Test Technician to join a client for a day shift position. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The client is located in Rancho Cordova. Hours for the role are Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm.

The client offers a sign on bonus of $7,500 after completion of 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled technician for the satellite communications industry. This person is responsible for the alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers. These amplifiers include a block upconverter and a digital control interface. Key duties include:

  • Aligning and tuning high-power RF amplifiers to meet customer specifications, with a focus on S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band amplifiers.
  • Conducting RF measurements, including gain, power, VSWR, intermodulation distortion, 1dB compression, harmonics, and more.
  • Operating and understanding RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex issues with high-power RF circuits.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent military/work experience.
  • Strong interest in applying hands-on skills to tune, troubleshoot, and test RF and microwave circuits, utilizing principles of electronics and electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency in soldering for tuning tasks.
  • Solid computer skills for documentation and report generation.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident for ITAR compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required, with additional vocational or technical training.
  • 2-5 years of directly related experience in RF or microwave technologies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently in front of customers or groups within the organization.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Understanding of basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
