Learn more about us What you will be doing: Engage in, and support all customer ride tuning activities, by virtue of timely preparation of all necessary prototype dampers when required by the Vehicle Dynamics team. Assist the Team Manager in supporting various suspension module programs (may include customer visits, coordination/tracking ...etc.) Assist Senior Validation/Tuning Engineer in vehicle ride development Assist department engineers in developing & performing test capabilities at the Hyundai, HATCI Center (may include component build & modification) Responsibilities: Manage and maintain HL Mando test lab facilities including all safety precautions Manage and maintenance of appropriate test lab facilities, including testing capacity & associated schedule(s) Primary representative/interface regarding test lab activities & expectations Coordinate program launch plan activities with Korean counterparts; - w.r.t. test support plan(s) Identify and communicate (internally) obstacles and bottle necks in the proper execution of test lab functions Maintain up-to-date communication between Mando internal departments; w.r.t. lab / testing status Develop action plans on issues and items that fall outside of the testing plan Support vehicle ride development by coordinating DSS / Damper testing / validation DV and PV Planning and Reporting: support DV and PV activities, working with senior ride engineer, PM and other technicians. Write DVP&R and track execution. Discuss results with design engineer (design engineer is responsible for the technical countermeasures). Present and discuss results with customers and negotiate timing for countermeasure implementation. Support Lessons learned: following program launch, understand and support efforts to capture development lessons learned. Essential Associates Degree in Technical Field OR standing equivalent to 2 years in a 4-year technical/engineering degree 3 + years of experience as automotive technician or senior mechanic Understanding of suspension systems geometry and fundamental hydraulics operations Ability to establish and track validation plans for design and production level systems root-cause solutions for engineering/technical issues relative to suspension Preferred Requirements: Automotive Suspension related experience is highly preferred 100% onsite.
