Job Title: Test TechnicianJob DescriptionIn this position, you will get to:- Conduct Technical Products performance tests on parts and products as requested in an accurate and timely manner.- Work with the requestor to modify and expand test plans and procedures.- Generate written reportsof test results in an accurate, concise manner, drawing sound conclusions and observations.- Set up and operate lab equipment and contribute to the organization and layout of the lab for increased efficiency.- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and make accurate prototype parts, assemblies and products as requested.- Design and build equipment and fixtures to conduct testing.- Assist in maintaining the calibration of the lab equipment.- Work with agency representatives/inspectors to help facilitate lab and manufacturing inspections and work with the Standards Engineer to resolve any findings.- Coordinate and manage off-site testing.- Support and participate new product development Lean activities (i.e. DFMEA-Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Design Reviews, 3P Conceptual Design event).- Assist engineers with design and development of test machinery and equipment as required.- Provide testing and engineering support for Engineered Solution and Value Engineering projects.Hard Skills+ Conducting performance tests+ Modifying and expanding test plans+ Generating test reports+ Setting up lab equipment+ Reading and interpreting engineering drawings+ Designing and building testing equipment+ Maintaining lab equipment calibration+ Coordinating off-site testingSoft Skills+ Attention to detail+ Effective communication+ Collaboration with engineers and inspectors+ Problem-solving+ Organizational skillsWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Anoka, Minnesota.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
