**SUMMARY**: The Assistant Manager, School Operations works with the Manager, School Operations to perform and/or oversee all aspects of school operations with an emphasis on compliance activities at all levels, internal and external to the K12 organization and functions as a member of the school leadership team.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS****:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

* Works closely with Manager, School Operations to project manage major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and State Testing;

* Develops relationships with education vendors, the districts, state and other education stakeholders;

* Helps maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;

* Assists Manager, School Operations with local, state, and federal reporting requirements;

* Works with Manager, School Operations and administrative staff to ensure the school is compliant with and meets all audit requirements;

* Oversees communication between the Company and districts related to student enrollments;

* Assists Manager, School Operations with the development of school policies and procedures, e.g. assists with the Companys efforts nationally to develop policies and procedures, training standards and curriculum enhancements;

* Assists with a wide variety of personnel support issues and may support key office positions.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:** *Directly supervises 2-10 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.*

**MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS****:**

* Bachelors degree in Business or related field AND

* Three (3) years of operations, project, or product management/support experience OR

* Equivalent combination of education and experience

**Certificates and Licenses**: None required.

**OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIOS:**

* Organizational and time management skills Great is relative

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

* Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to clear required background check

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS****:**

* Management experience

* Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start-up environment
