Role:

Occasional part-time therapist position up to 28 hours a week. Therapist will complete OBRA psychosocial assessments for nursing home residents to assess needs and define treatment recommendations. Therapist will exhibit strong ability to build rapport with older adults and nursing homes. Therapist must exhibit strong assessment and diagnostic skills with older adults. Therapist must function well as part of a team and have good knowledge of community resources. Therapist will work under the supervision of the Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator.

Job Specific Requirements:

For Therapist II - Master's degree with Michigan licensure, either LMSW, LLP or LPC.

Strong clinical skills and appreciation for older adults required.

Strong relationship building skills preferred.

Valid MI driver's license required.

Some evening hours may be required.

Prior experience working with older adults with mental illness required.

Experience working with older adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities desirable.

Prior experience working in a community mental health system preferred.

Experience in working with electronic medical records preferred.

Ability to work as part of a team of professionals in a public mental health setting required. Strong assessment skills required.
