Job Summary for Mobile Response Team Therapist: To provide high quality de-escalation and assessment services to clients in crises to ensure safety and divert inappropriate Baker Acts of youth and adults Responds to intervention calls with a 60 minute response time by physically reporting to the crisis site to assess and evaluate the child in need of immediate mental health services Distinguishes between a mental health crisis and behavioral emergency on the basis of potential harm to the child or others Provides therapeutic insight, immediate de-escalation and continued stabilization assistance as needed, while ensuring the childs dignity is maintained and her or his best interests are accommodated Requirements Education and Experience Requirements for Mobile Response Team Therapist: Conferred Masters degree in social work, therapeutic mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy disciplines. At least two years experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents and developing treatment plans based on current DSM/ICD diagnoses. FL Baker Act experience Moderate computer skills, such as inputting at least 45 wpm.
