Along with great prices, all dollars raised at our Thrift Store go right back into our Emergency Shelter programs and services. If you want to help make a difference by serving your community and helping those in need, apply now!The Thrift Store Assistant Manager manages the thrift store operations, including receiving and pricing donations. Manager all employees and volunteers in the thrift store. About the role:
  • Manages store staff and volunteers, as well as all store operations to maintain profitability.
  • Manages the appearance of the store - oversees operations and ensures that product is being rotated and displays are being changed based on seasonal demands.
  • Maintains sufficient stock and adjusts merchandise and sales approach to achieve goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of shift receipts and merchandise categories and use this information to adjust operations to increase profitability.
  • Ensures income is deposited daily and ensures cash drawers are reconciled per policy.
  • Handles all customer concerns and complaints and communicates these with the Corps Officer.
  • Manages staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
  • Supervise staff and ensure timesheets are submitted and approved by the deadline.
  • Trains new staff.
  • Maintain a social media presence to advertise as well as engage the public.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: At least two years' experience in a retail environment, including supervisory skills and management experience. Full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for full benefits, including health, dental, vision and hearing benefits, basic and voluntary life benefits, holiday pay and paid time off, which is pro-rated based on their regularly scheduled work week.Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. If the completion of a 90-day waiting period occurs on the first day of the calendar month, coverage will begin on that day.
