Thrift Store Manager - Nature Coast Ministries : Job Details

Nature Coast Ministry is seeking a dedicated and motivated Thrift Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our thrift shop. This role is vital in supporting our mission, as all proceeds help fund our benevolent programs and provide quality, affordable merchandise to families in need. Key Responsibilities:

• Store Operations: Manage daily store functions, including opening/closing procedures, sales transactions, and inventory management.
• Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate staff and volunteers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
• Merchandising & Donations: Oversee sorting, pricing, and display of donated items to maximize sales while ensuring items are set aside for families in crisis.
• Community Engagement: Foster relationships with donors, customers, and community partners to promote the store's mission and increase support.
• Financial Accountability: Track sales, manage cash handling, and work within a budget to optimize store profitability.
• Mission Alignment: Ensure the store operates in a way that reflects Nature Coast Ministry's commitment to serving veterans, grandparents raising grandchildren, single parents, domestic abuse survivors, and disaster victims.

Qualifications:

• Retail or thrift store management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Passion for helping others and supporting the community.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Experience working with volunteers is a plus.
