Amaze, Inspire, Unite Job Summary: The Ticket Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of all Ilitch Sports + Entertainment box offices and ensuring high customer service standards and cash handling procedures are met. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise/manage Box Office sales staff.
  • Build and maintain events for Little Caesars Arena and other company venues.
  • Assist preparation Daily Sales reports for all company events.
  • Oversee box office operations during performances (including preparation of Box reports, Box Office Statements and any reports necessary for Event Settlements).
  • Ensure accessible compliant ticketing practices are in place for every event.
  • Work with sales staff to create invoice templates, account manager edits and creative edits to integrate with local media or other third-party vendors.
  • Administer established rules and provides information regarding ticket resale.
  • Work with other department to create and help maintain their ticket price codes.
  • Program user privileges for 313 Presents, DRW, or Pistons ticketing system.
  • Set up any third-party integration requirements as needed.
  • Assist with daily reconciliation and preparation of deposits, as well as monitor cash flow.
  • Proactively work with booking, touring, and artist representatives on sold maps, rescales, discount offers, and other sales tools to maximize sales on events.
  • Maintain digital files and reports, including payroll, in Workday or time management system.
  • Ensures positive relationship with promoters, agents, and tour accountants •Work proactively with director and operations managers as it relates to their needs for the functioning of a successful show in advance, night of show and post show.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Associates degree in business administration, management or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience as box office manager or representative, including management level work experience.
  • Knowledge of ticketing software, specifically Ticketmaster Archtics software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Box Office or similar operations, customer service computer operations, accounting/cash management procedures.
  • Ability to direct work of staff in the handling of large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls.
  • Effective communication skills, including outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external colleagues and contacts.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of sports and entertainment industry. Bachelor's degree in business or related field a strong plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exposure to high noise level.
  • Frequent visual/auditory attention.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly exposed to a facility environment, outside weather conditions, extreme cold/heat, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The colleague frequently is required to sit.
  • The colleague is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The colleague must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires long periods of time on feet.
