Tig Welder - 1st Shift - Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures : Job Details

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures is a tier-one manufacturer located in Scott City, Missouri. We utilize a lean manufacturing philosophy and an agile workforce to provide you with custom enclosures suited to your custom applications. We manufacture standard, modified, and custom electrical enclosures and serve industries such as oil and gas exploration, energy, telecom, OEM equipment applications, and many more.

Job Summary:

The welder will weld various metals, construct, and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
• Must be able to build the product based on the blueprint with detailed accuracy.
• Use and familiarization with a tape measure, hand tools, and an ability to perform simple math and decimal to fraction conversions.
• Must be able to perform PMs and set up welding equipment as required.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
• All other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 1 year of tig welding experience required.
• Previous fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
