Walters Gardens is North America's leading wholesale grower of perennial plants. As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience where you explore the entire process of our Tissue Culture Production. The initiation of healthy plants helps us grow our extensive collection of top-tier perennials. Within the rotation track, you will work with some of the best and brightest in the industry. Areas of Focus:

• Motherstock Greenhouse & Virus Lab
• Tissue Culture Lab
• Greenhouse Production Planting Lines
• Greenhouse - Acclimation Growing Range
• Integrated Pest Management

During rotational tracks there will be additional opportunities to spend time shadowing and learning in other departments.

Details:

13-week summer internships with flexible start/end dates

Full-time (40hrs/week) with half-day Fridays

Competitive pay with monthly housing stipend

Cumulative group project with other interns

Requirements

Applicants must currently be enrolled in an accredited college

Rising senior or nearing last year in program preferred

Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Biology or related fields preferred

Pay: $18.51/hour
