About the Job:Seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our title team. The ideal candidate demonstrates solid knowledge of real estate proceedings, specifically title review, supports our internal team and coordinates with external business partners to ensure the timely execution of real estate transactions.Responsibilities:
- Provide support and quality control for a variety of residential real estate transactions.
- Review real estate documents, e.g., title documents, deeds, mortgages, transfer tax forms, etc.
- Work closely with external partners to clear exceptions to title and obtain title policies.
- Review public records, liens, deeds, judgments, and chains of title to determine legal status of residential properties.

- Superb organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service skills including professional conduct in communicating with attorneys, co-workers, and clients.
- Decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Keen attention to detail, including recognizing title defects and formulating curative solutions.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment and 'think on your feet'.
- Critical thinking about complex title issues.
- Accurate data entry into firm and client systems.Requirements:
- Competency in various computer software programs, e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- 1+ year(s) of real estate experience, including knowledge of title and lender procedures, co-ops and CEMAs preferred.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA approved school, or B.A. degree in a field related to law preferred.
- Experience using Encompass mortgage software a plus.
- Notaries or candidates willing to become a notary preferred.
