The Department of Pathology ( at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist.
The successful candidates will be a part of the Neurodegenerative disease team and will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple collaborations across laboratories within UCSD. The successful candidates will be involved in small and large collaborative projects, teaching and supervising students and postdoctoral fellows. The successful candidates will also be expected to make original and significant contributions to a research program in a discipline relevant to neurodegenerative disease and participate in all aspects of laboratory research, including experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript and grant writing.
Appointment level/rank is dependent upon academic experience and scholarly achievements.
Basic qualifications (required at time of application):Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, an MD/PhD or PhD in neurodegenerative disease or biological sciences-related fields.
