Tool and Die Maker

NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Amityville, Long Island NY, is a world-wide leader in the manufacturing of electronic security systems for over 45 years has a full time opening for a Tool and Die Maker.

Responsibilities:

• Making, repairing, and maintaining tools, dies, and fixtures for our pressroom.
• Setup an operate machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders.
• Be capable of using all necessary hand tools needed as well as maintaining an organized, clean, safe work area.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools and dies.
• Assisting Pressroom supervisor with any necessary troubleshooting, tooling, maintenance, etc.
• Troubleshooting production and quality problems related to tooling
• Updating and maintaining tooling files.
• Evaluating and improving tool performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Tool and Die Maker.
• Interpret blueprints to determine materials, specifications and tolerance for tools.
• Ability to set-up and operate conventional tool room equipment.
• Knowledge of Stamping and Progressive/Compound Dies.
• CAD/CAM experience (AutoCad/MasterCam) a Plus.
• Experience using VMC's and or Wire EDM a Plus.
