You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while crafting tools and dies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include: Read sketches, blueprints, and specifications to plan operations for the fabrication of dies, tools, and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometersUtilize conventional machining equipment to repair and modify jigs, and diesWork with engineer to help design templates and jigs to solve problems during production processTroubleshoot problems and perform repairs on tools, manually operated dies, and progressive dies.Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications#LI-GALQualificationsRequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:High school diploma or equivalentOne to five years of experience in tool and die makingMust be able to stand for shift durationsAbility to lift 50 pounds repetitivelyComfortable to work in thousandths of inchBenefits of Working With UsSalary for New York Based Applicants: $27.00 - $31.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
