Tool and Die Technician - Automation Personnel Services : Job Details

Tool and Die TechnicianAutomation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician for an air conditioning manufacturing company in Canton, GA ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and efficiency of both die systems and tooling equipment. This role combines troubleshooting and maintenance with the repair, adjustment, and setup of tools, dies, and equipment in a production environment.This is a direct hire position!Pay Rate Based on Experience Schedule and Hours Monday through Thursday, 1:00 pm to 11:00pmFour day work week, three day weekend!*must be able to train on first shift* Tool and Die Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform tool and die work, including disassembly, repair, reassembly, and troubleshooting of dies and tooling.
• Install, program, maintain, weld and test machinery and related equipment using precision tools; document results and recommend improvements.
• Conduct preventive and curative maintenance on systems, pneumatic valves, and other equipment.
• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and equipment upkeep.
• Operate forklifts including walk behind forks and overhead cranes as needed.
• Follow training, safety regulations, and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Tool and Die Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in production machinery maintenance, machine programming, and tool & died.
• Skilled in using precision tools, reading blueprints, and working with pneumatic systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Previous welding experience highly preferred.
• Must pass drug screening and background check at time of hire.
