Job Description :
General Summary: Responsible for the tracking and distribution off tools and material for Hooper's Fabrication Shop and Jobsites. This role involves collaborating with office personnel, jobsite foreman, division leaders and management to ensure timely delivery of necessary resources. Principal Accountabilities:
  • Research and evaluate new tools and materials for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking tools across divisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation of tools and supplies.
  • Maintain tool and equipment repair and calibration records.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify tool needs for Fab Shops and jobsites.
  • Collaborate with Trucking Supervisor to schedule material and tool deliveries.
  • Review quality of purchased products and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Process tools and material requests and stage them for delivery.
  • Inventory incoming tools from jobsites.
  • Maintain inventory of consumable items in the tool crib.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Scope Data:
  • Works and interacts in a team environment with multiple personnel.
  • Responsible for handling inventory and equipment for multiple divisions.
  • May serve on company committees as required.
Description of Physical Working Environment:
  • Continuous standing, walking, and lifting required with frequent twisting, bending, and turning.
  • Ability to climb ladders and steps and lift materials up to 75 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Works in a normal office/shop environment.
  • Regularly works from a sitting position with a computer; repetitive typing and computer use required.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in inventory control or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory management procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills required.
  • Maintains a good driving record for occasional travel to job sites.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and vendors.
