Tool & Die Maker - MDS Staffing : Job Details

Manufacturing company in the north metro seeking to add an experienced TOOL & DIE MAKER to join our Fridley based tooling team. Some Highlights:•We design, build, run, and maintain 100% of our own production tooling.•Company makes a wide variety of custom sheet metal forming tools including punching, bending, deep drawing, progressive, transfer, weld & assembly fixtures.•We do not outsource any of our tooling needs, nor do we sell the tooling we build to outside shops. We run what we build & management is committed to this valuable part of our business.Qualifications•At least 5 years of experience building & servicing metal stamping and/or draw tools•A strong mechanical aptitude with sound critical thinking skills•Be able to read blueprints & understand how to measure dimensions & apply tolerances to the parts of a stamping tool•Good in mathematics•Be able to figure station timing, clearances, adjustments, etc.•Be reliable and able to work a 40 hour week (voluntary overtime is frequently available)•Pre-employment drug screen, physical exam and criminal background check required prior to beginning work
