Tool Maker 1st shift Requisition ID: 40427 Job Location(s): Van Wert, OH, US Job Description Danfoss in Van Wert, OH is hiring a 1st shift Tool and Die Maker. In this position you will perform all processes required to make/repair/recondition, production and development tooling. Make tooling and fixtures to print specifications using hand tools, precision measuring tools and gages, lathes, milling machines, and grinders (cutter, surface, cylindrical, radial axial) both manual and CNC. The wage range is $30 to $33 per hour, based on verifiable experience. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Ability to read and understand blueprints, to use and understand measurement tools. Proficient in the use of lathes, mills, grinders, or EDM - proficient in furnace and flame heat treating. Makes tooling and fixturing per print. Teams with maintenance and production to build and modify tooling and machine parts without blueprints. Generate prints, for engineering updates and design. Team oriented to work with cross functional departmentswithproblem solving mindset. The ideal candidate possesses these skills. High School Diploma or General Education Degree Verifiable Minimum of four years' experience Tool & Die, machining or other related fields. One year experience utilizing Total Productive MFG or (TPM) philosophy. One year experience advanced software experience to run programs such as AutoCAD. Knowledge of basic computer skills and perform basic mathematics.
