Job Description :

The Tooling and Mold Engineer aligns with manufacturing and engineering personnel in the innovation, design and enhancement of technology advances related to equipment and tooling in support of the overall goals, objectives, mission and vision of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Advise Repair/PM Mold Work and Mold Build

Best practices for Repair/PM Mold Work and Mold Build

Advise Shop Supervisor and Technical Team Supervisor (Process Techs)

Production floor troubleshooting

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in mold tooling including design, debugging, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Experience in an injection molding production environment with specific exposure to high volume/speed and multi-cavity.

Knowledge of mold flow analysis and comprehension.

Experience in formal problem-solving and processes (i.e. Six Sigma, LEAN, Kaizen).

Experience with DOE and DOE analysis as it pertains to injection molds and processes.

Communication and organization skills.

Strong organization, follow-up and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task.

High technical proficiency including expertise in 2-D and 3-D SolidWorks software, Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Access, and Outlook.

Proven ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are presentation-ready, aesthetically pleasing and highly effective.

Ability to manage projects.

Self-motivated and self-disciplined.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

7 years mold and tool design experience in a related industry or discipline.

4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Highly articulate individual with advanced communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate on all levels in various formats is essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Intermediate math aptitude is required. Specifically, the ability to create, maintain and adhere to projections, pricing, budgets, and others.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to analyze, compare, contrast and synthesize information in an efficient and effective manner is important. Ability to process data and information in an organized manner and generate ideas and recommendations is essential.
