Tooling Technician - Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling & Stamping : Job Details

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities:Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine toolsPosition, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machiningAssemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operationDirectly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are metAnalyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situationsMinimum Qualifications:5 years of related work experienceTrade certificationAbility to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructionsAbility to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)Able to work 3-shift m odel: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OTPreferred Qualifications:5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environmentCleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
