Tournament Official - Ripken Baseball : Job Details

Overview: As a successful Tournament Official, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with tournament operations at The Ripken Experience™ Elizabethtown. You will actively contribute to the success of tournaments in Elizabethtown, KY. This paid, seasonal position will span from approximately Spring 2024 through Summer 2024. This part-time opportunity is ideal for high school or college students. As a Tournament Official, you will:

• Announce youth baseball games (reading player names and advertisements), play music, operate the scoreboard, relay messages to the Tournament Director, and assist our operations team with tasks around the complex.
• Learn 'The Ripken Way' to play an integral role in operating world class baseball tournaments.
• Create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for guests, developing camaraderie and acting as a positive role model.
• Adhere to the Ripken values and brand standards, ensuring a consistent representation of excellence.
• Acquire expertise in tournament operations through hands-on guidance from seasoned professionals.
• Serve as a baseball rules consultant.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, displaying initiative, desire, and determination to champion the values associated with the Ripken name and brand.
• Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work experience in a customer service environment.

• Previous experience within the sports sector.
• Genuine passion for sports, with a particular emphasis on baseball/softball.
