TOWN PLANNER - Town Of Vass : Job Details

TOWN PLANNER

Responsible for the majority of the town's planning and zoning needs.

RESPSPONSIBILITES

• Writes, amends, and interprets the zoning ordinance and map

• Writes and amends the Town's Comprehensive Land Use Plan

• Communicates with applicants on the process and review

• Answers public inquiries regarding zoning

• Reviews applications

• Approves site plans, subdivisions, and other applications

• Taking applications and all planning-related items to the Planning Board, Board of Commissioners, and Board of Adjustment

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Working on small area plans (i.e Gateway Plan, Downtown Plan)

• Seeking and assisting with grant applications

• processing annexation requests
