Essential Responsibilities:
- Reviews monthly activity from vacation companies and prepare necessary journal entries to post activity in accounting system in accordance with GAAP
- Prepares Corporate reconciliations as assigned
- Reviews reconciliations of various Vacation companies balance sheet accounts, researches and clears reconciling items
- Reviews monthly and assists with analysis of company results, budgets and forecasts
- Reviews Blackline status for Vacations Tasks and Reconciliations completes and/or coordinates with others regarding timely completion
- Maintains schedule monitoring tasks due, assists team in review of information received, follows up on additional items
- Analyzes monthly activity, discusses with the companies, obtains detailed explanations and documents variance analysis for the team promptly related to monthly results
- Reviews and provides management and companies analysis over data from property management software(s) for future revenues including the monthly allowance for cancellations on future reservations.
- Prepares and analyzes large amounts of data from various systems using Excel functions or other methods and summarizes findings.
- Analyzes statistical information from multiple sources and prepares information used in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ensures data from Vacation Rental PMS system (Track/Escapia) reconciles with data loaded to the Bank accounting system.
- Create and analyze Key Performance Indicator Reports. Assist with KPI data preparation for monthly Board Report
- Navigate deadlines across various parties both for the internal team as well as various corporate departments.
- Assist Vacations Team members with special projects
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal, organizational planning, and PC skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Be able to navigate through large quantities of data; Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP's, IF, SUMIF, Pivot tables etc.)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information
Desired Experience:
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's degree in Accounting a plus
- 2+ years of relative work experience, banking or property management accounting experience a plus
