Job Description :
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Perform forensic toxicology investigations and analysis on a diverse array of matters, including those involving PFOS, PFAS and other contaminants
  • Source identification of PCBs, PAHs, PFASs, organic and inorganic pesticides, heavy metals, and metalloids
  • Determine the timing, sources, and mechanisms of contaminant releases and identify other potential sources of contamination
  • Conduct toxicology analysis on cases involving PFOS, PFAS and various chemical and biological exposures
  • Perform in depth pathway/network analysis on data derived from toxicology and other studies
  • Extensive document review, analysis and interpretation
  • Conduct unbiased investigations for various clients
  • Provide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in written reports
  • Support conclusions by appropriate testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groups
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Position Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or M.P.H. in Public Health, Epidemiology, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field is required
  • Minimum of seven years of post-academic experience, specifically evaluating PFAS and PFOS in water
  • Knowledge, training, or education in mathematics, epidemiology, chemistry, biostatistics, and/or risk assessment is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Experience interacting with pharmaceutical regulatory agencies is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong commitment to professional development
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to drive to site locations
  • Ability to travel by airline
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
