Compensation: Up to $42 per hour flat rate (depending on experience and certifications)Summary:Thompsons Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service and repairs, contributing to our reputation for excellence.   • Diagnose and Repair: Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a range of vehicles, performing repairs with precision and efficiency to meet Thompsons' standards of quality and integrity.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid top-offs, always with a focus on the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
  • Customer-Focused Service: Communicate openly and effectively with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair details and cost estimates, demonstrating a servant's attitude and ensuring the customer's needs are prioritized.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and team members, supporting one another and embodying the teamwork value to achieve our common goal of exceptional customer service.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on manufacturer guidelines, technical service bulletins, and the latest diagnostic tools, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably within a dealership environment.
  • Certifications: ASE Certification or manufacturer-specific certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, performing mechanical repairs, and completing electronic and safety inspections.

Physical Requirements:
