- Acting in capacity as General Securities Principal with supervisory responsibility over reviewing, approving, and processing of trade cancels and rebills of equity, fixed income, and UIT securities.
- Assessment, placement of timely market cover trades, and timely rejection notifications of trade cancels and rebills involving complex systems, which requires strong technical knowledge and creates financial and/or regulatory risk if delayed or completed incorrectly. The trade error corrections include cancels, quantity, symbol, and buy to sell/sell to buy changes as well as account number, account type, commission, and as of correction requests.
- Works in collaboration with internal business areas including Advisory, Compliance, Field Supervision, Trading, and Operations while also understanding the impacts to these areas.
- Determines gain/loss amounts on cancel and rebill requests.
- Coach and educate branch teams on trade error correction requests, best practices, and complex client situations.
- Demonstrate ability to identify and analyze common and non-routine market and trading related information using a variety of resources. Utilizes clarifying questions to help identify and resolve these common and non-routine trading related issues and inconsistencies.
- Must detect and/or prevent problems with trade cancels and rebills that would negatively impact the client and cause regulatory issues for the Financial Advisor and the firm.
- Must utilize industry knowledge and judgment to make decisions daily. Associates will coordinate and organize data for internal and external audits which requires excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to explain complex processes and provide detailed documentation of their decisions.
- Most of the decisions are complex and based on knowledge of trading systems and industry knowledge. They are made independently without a higher level review of the decisions or consequence, and must always comply with regulatory rules.

- 3+ years of industry experience required; within a role that required managing risk.
- Requires strong working knowledge of securities products and trading processes, including awareness of industry issues and hot topics.
- Advanced knowledge of products, trade reporting requirements, supervisory systems, firm policies, and industry rules and regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong conflict-management, problem solving and independent decision making skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
