Job Location : Marquette,MI, USA
This position is responsible for assisting Maintenance Mechanics with facility maintenance at assigned facilities. This includes preventative maintenance to equipment and fish life support systems, assisting with set up and take-down of equipment for fish stocking, spawning and marking equipment. Responsible for building maintenance, construction, fabrication, and assisting with special projects. The employee will assist with the day-to-day grounds care and janitorial duties required at the facility. This position will occasionally assist with other hatchery personnel with basic fish rearing activities during high volume times.
Position Description
Must possess or be able to acquire within six months after hire and maintain a class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement and without air brake restrictions. Acquiring and maintaining a valid CDL is a condition of employment.
Commercial pesticide applicator's permit required within 12 months after hire.
Valid Unrestricted Driver's License required.
Education
No specific type or amount is required.
Experience
One year of experience as a laborer assisting in the construction, electrical, or mechanical trades.
