Overview

We are seeking a Trading Application Support Specialist to join our client, focusing on Front Office fixed income trading applications. The role involves supporting various products, including Forex (Cash and Options), Emerging Markets, Cash Rates, Derivatives, and Credit. The ideal candidate will work closely with traders, business analysts, and developers in a DevOps environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve functional and technical issues promptly and report incidents as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues in a complex financial environment with multiple applications.
  • Manage crises and communicate effectively with users and senior management.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to support and enhance application solutions.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding application outages, releases, and projects.
  • Coordinate with development and support teams globally.
  • Ensure timely response to end-user issues and document actions taken.
  • Follow internal IT norms, standards, and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with experience in fixed income financial products and trading systems.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Client/Server applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Unix environments and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and environments.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g., Tibco, RMDS, Ultra Messaging).
  • Experience with network configurations and financial products (FI/FX).
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
