Trading Operations Engineer - EngTal : Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Trading Operations Engineer to become a key member of our strategy development team. This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional technical support to traders and developers, while ensuring that our trading operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting proprietary trading software
• Keep users informed about incident progress and resolutions in a clear, timely manner
• Monitor and assess trading system performance, identifying and addressing potential problems
• Maintain application and system reliability and availability during market hours
• Design and implement automation tools and scripts to optimize operations
• Conduct thorough analysis of complex systems to uncover underlying issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new features and enhancements that improve performance, reliability, and scalability of trading systems

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in application support, site reliability engineering, or similar roles involving high-performance applications
• Proven experience with Kubernetes in a production environment is essential
• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python and Bash
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is highly desirable
• Familiarity with CentOS or Ubuntu is a bonus
• Independent, self-motivated, with a deep passion for technology and problem-solving
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
