In this role, you will play a vital part in managing vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure smooth and safe operations during events. Responsibilities:
- Set up traffic control equipment, including signage, cones, and barricades, as needed.
- Direct and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow around event venues.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to drivers and pedestrians to ensure safety and minimize congestion.
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust control measures to accommodate changing conditions.
- Assist in the safe entry and exit of event attendees and staff from parking areas.
- Respond promptly and effectively to traffic-related incidents or emergencies, following established procedures.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service by assisting attendees with inquiries and directions.
- Collaborate with event staff and security personnel to maintain safe and efficient traffic operations.
- Ensure compliance with local traffic regulations and venue-specific guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support event success.
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary depending on local regulations).
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (some college education is preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with attendees and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check.
