Traffic Coordinator - Wincore Windows & Doors : Job Details

Job purposeThis position processes inbound and outbound domestic and international freight. Performs yard management functions for trailers and containers.Duties and responsibilities•Scheduling Daily and Weekly Routeso Assisting with daily scheduling and routing of customers, adhering to customer requirements and special requests.o Routing in the most cost-efficient manner. •Planning the Shipments from Production to the end-usero Working daily with carriers ensuring customer communication and customer needs. o Daily contact with all carriers, keeping informed of delays and problems as they arise and communicating these issues to those affected. •Tracking orders using functional systemso Assisting to schedule routes with company software.o Remove and add orders.o Track POD's.o Identifying and correcting incorrect addresses.o Assist insides sales with adding special orders.•Invoicingo Assisting to view, correct and submit invoices daily. •Monitor and report transportation costs.•Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.•Other duties as assigned. Qualifications•High School Diploma required.•Proficient with the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT).•Customer service oriented.•Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.•Proficient with the Internet.•Must be able to multi-task.•Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little guidance•Must be a positive contributor to a team environment.•Candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation and work with a sense of urgency.•Ability to work a flexible schedule •Traffic experience preferred.Working conditionsDay shift, M- F, 8am - 5pmAbility to receive calls and provide assistance in the evenings and weekendsPhysical requirementsHigh activityMulti-tasking is a must
