Traffic Coordinator - SunCoke Energy : Job Details

Job Summary:Traffic Coordinators are responsible for day to day operations of the traffic department. They coordinate with the yard masters from both railroads for yard control and movement of trains. They are required to check and log every car that arrives into the facility to ensure they are correct. They set up and verify every job that is ran at the Dock to ensure accuracy. They are responsible for all railcar movement in our railcar system. They communicate with conductors and foreman on planning the movement of trains and barges for each shift. They communicate with the River Division for planning of barges needed for loading and unloading. They stay in communication with the Quality Department about trains that are either dumping to ground or loading from ground and also keep him informed about the offload barges that are in our fleet. They are responsible for keeping up the offload report. They also handle customer-related activities, scheduling, and barge coordination. The Coordinators have a working knowledge of all aspects of the facility. Interface with computers, using Microsoft applications and job processing. Other work as directed by Supervisor.

Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 1 year experience in transportation

Must be computer literate

Working knowledge of Excel, Word

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

Must be able to lift 75lbs

Must be able to communicate via radio

Multi-tasking skills

Must have a valid driver's license
