Job Description :
ECS is seeking a Training and Documentation Specialist to work in our Norman, OK office.
  • Verify / validate engineering / technical documentation; create technical documentation based on engineering and COTS information; utilizing technical knowledge / experience, work with multi-discipline group to provide technical documentation and equipment support.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance programs and performance standards established to provide system-wide efficiencies in equipment system performance.
  • Participates in and assists with the development and coordination of processes and procedures necessary for supporting and contributing to the establishment of specialized maintenance technical support teams.
  • Develop and implement employee training and professional development programs that are aligned with the goals of the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and create training strategies to address operational deficiencies in collaboration with the customer and ECS leadership.
  • Career progression planning with focus on employee attrition.
  • Curriculum development for various delivery methods including traditional classroom environment, and e-learning and self-paced learning platforms.
  • Create educational materials (presentations, videos, and participant guides) to support developed curriculum.
  • Ensure the training material and content is kept current, engaging, and effective.
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of training programs and tools.
  • Track project development and progress using the customers preferred project management software.
  • Prepare and present reports on training program progress and effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Coordinate and facilitate educational workshops and seminars as needed.
  • Complete ad hoc projects in support of customer short-term goals and missions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green-Card Holder to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of combined work experience with adult education and curriculum development. (Will consider a combination of education, technical / military training, professional certifications, and work experience.)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience working with information technology, advanced electronics, and technical writing.
  • Experience with maintenance repair and troubleshooting of machines and equipment as related to mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent understanding of effective learning and development methods.
  • Experience with traditional classroom facilitation and e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, resolve and communicate technical and business issues.
  • Ability to function effectively in an energetic, fast paced environment while maintaining excellent systems of organization, focus, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, leadership, and teams
