Are you enthusiastic and self-driven? Then we may have the job for you! The SCDMV is looking for a Motor Carrier Services Senior Trainer to join our team. If you're ready to put your training skills to work to help our agency function at its best, we can't wait to meet you!This position is in Motor Carrier Services/Change Management and Integration Department of Motor Vehicles Headquarters, Blythewood, SC.Responsibilities of the Motor Carrier Services Training Manager Manages and coordinates job assignments of assigned trainers. Develops, disseminates, and implements MCS training needs for both internal and external parties. Evaluates the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of training delivery and the training program. Guides discussions on potential changes and adjustments to the MCS training program. Provides feedback on the impact of MCS training and presents plans to make sure program remains effective. Reviews assessments and evaluations after each training cycle for policy/procedural changes and adjustments. Works closely with directorates and business units to ensure training needs are met, with an emphasis on Branch Services and MCS staff. Develops and implements all training materials and presentations for Wednesday Morning Trainings, New Employee Training, and training related to changes in procedures. Serves as a liaison between the MCT training unit and the agency training unit to maximize the training resources within the agency. Maintains records for training conducted, any training certifications issued, and provides monthly training status updates. Schedules, coordinate, and updates yearly calendar for both the MCS and Branch Services using Power DMS and SharePoint. Maintains physical asset inventory for all equipment for the MCT training unit. Other duties as assignedMinimum and Additional Requirements Minimum Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant training and development experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.Additional Requirements Ability to effectively supervise employees. Knowledge of applicable training principles and practices. Knowledge of planning and coordinating training programs. Knowledge of instructing training groups. Knowledge of visual aid use and development. Ability to analyze training and development needs and resources and to recommend and communicate solutions effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. This position will require statewide travel.
