Position Overview: Join Siemens Rolling Stock in Lexington, NC as a Lead Training Coordinator and become an integral part of our operations. The Training Coordinator will oversee the training of new employees in essential rail car manufacturing skills, including safety, certifications, welding, and both mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly. Responsibilities include delivering training content effectively, assessing skills for competency, collaborating with cross-functional teams for testing and validation, and creating management reports to ensure compliance. - Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure all team members are trained in, and observe, safe work practices.
- Collaborate and build relationships with production department managers to identify required foundational skills and required competency levels for each department and/or defined functional positions.
- Plan and develop curriculum and training materials for specific skill areas - safety, welding, mechanical assembly, electro-mechanical assembly.
- Provide general safety training to all employees, and develop and deliver department specific safety training to address risks that are specific to a given department (e.g. welding vs. assembly vs electrical wiring)
- Support required certification training such as fall protection, PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle), respirator training, etc.
- Support various training programs by scheduling rooms, ordering materials, and coordinating with vendors or functional team
- Ensure content is effectively delivered and incorporate skill assessment to ensure competency.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with traditional Learning Management Systems.
- Experience in managing training activities in a complex production environment in the past 3 years.
- Experience in OEM capital equipment manufacturing operations in the past 7 years.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lead and motivate a direct labor workforce.
- Develop relationships: Excellent coach and team builder.
- Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal customers.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $109,100 - $147,200.
