Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Ensure that all CC Idaho staff meet all Federal, State, and local mandated training requirements for their positions
  • Plan, develop, and administer development & training programs for agency staff
  • Assess developmental needs to drive training & development initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for staff
  • Search and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and meet compliance requirements
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the MSHS/CC Idaho Child Development Associate, Associates Degree and bachelor's degree training plan for MSHS staff
  • Assist Education Managers, Instructional Coaches, and Education Coordinators in developing plans that assist teachers in individual development and/or training plans to meet compliance and educational standards
  • Plan, develop and implement a continuing education program, coordinating course offerings for staff with community and higher education institutions
  • Assist in the develop of program's annual training budget; monitor expenditures, so that ongoing decisions can be made
  • Conduct annual training and development needs assessment
  • Conduct follow-up studies of completed trainings to evaluate and measure results
  • Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the agency
  • Evaluate transcripts to determine credits towards Early Childhood Education
  • Locate alternate funding and financial aid sources for training and staff development to assist staff in continuing their education or adding skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel within service area, out of town, and out of state
  • Manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and pay close attention to detail, and remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho employee records
  • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Career Development, Human Resources (emphasis on training and development), or related field.
  • Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Must pass a background check
  • Knowledge of staff training, coaching, and mentoring techniques, and objectives
  • Ability to evaluate staff compliance levels and formulate plans and proposals to increase compliance
  • Ability to monitor budget expenditures
  • Experience with Learning Management System software
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Training & Development, Career Development, Human Resources (emphasis on training and development), or related field
  • Experience in Human Resources and/or staff development
    • or equivalent combination of education and experience
